Corbin's Site

Hi, I'm Corbin.

This Is What I Do.

CAD/CAM

Formula Buckeyes SAE

During my time at The Ohio State University, I've joined the Formula Buckeyes SAE formula racing team for student participants, builders, and designers. As a member, I have designed various aerodynamic and powertrain systems for a small formula car which has participated in nationally-recognized races. Most of my designs have been done in Solidworks and Fusion 360 with accompanied drawings. You can see them all in the Projects section.

Buckeye Studnet Launch Initiative

Another student organization at Ohio State is the Buckeye Student Launch Initiative, a rocketry organization with several sub-teams including the Liquid Rocket Project, of which I am a member of the fluids and aerodynamics sub-teams. During that time, I conducted research for the advancement of the project in future iterations and therefore had to generate ideations of parts for future rockets. See all of them in the Projects section.

Personal Projects

Throughout my time as an engineer-in-training, as a mechanical enthusiast, and an adventurer in the world of design, I have created many personal projects. They vary from graphic designs to fully-fledged mechanisms and physical products. You can see all of the design work, photos, and products in the Projects section.

Graphic Design

As an enthusiast of creative work in general, my first startup (Traditum Ventures) was originally based on creating designs for print-on-demand clothing. Since starting and molding Traditum Ventures I've gone into brand design and poster creation, as well as typography. Design has always been my passion, whether through creative or practical outlets. See some examples of my work in, you guessed it, the Projects section.

Management

Startups

As somebody with too many interests to juggle and too much intrigue into each of them to maintain, I found myself so obsessed with whatever I've been interested in to the point that I turn them into businesses. My first ever startup was Hink! Automatic Automotive, which was a mobile automotive repair company that I started very soon after I got my license. I managed several contracts for individual clients and facilitated cost-effective, competitive repair operations in my hometown, which allowed me to turn a profit on an interest that captured me since a young age. After Hink!, though, I began delving into graphic design, which spawned Traditum Ventures and the subsidiaries of my primary base of operations, Hinklewerks. See what I've done through each of them in the Projects section.

Education

At the end of my high school career, I was offered the amazing opportunity to be the president of the Goshen High School chapter of the SkillsUSA career technology program. During my senior year, I facilitated the participation of students in robotics and business pitch competitions and oversaw the allocation of funds for these competitions. Additionally, I acted as a teacher's assistant (TA) for the engineering teacher at my high school, assisting in project proctoring throughout the year. As president of this chapter, I also participated in the first annual Dayton SCORE pitch deck compeition, which allows students from all across Ohio to participate in a business pitch competition. As part of my leaving GHS, I allowed for future classes to participate and succeed in the program.
